Brand new stuff is about to happen!

Farhad Rezaei and Tripp Bratton are putting together a Jazz improv duet. Tripp will be playing Vibes, and Farhad on the Piano. So very exciting, Right! For those of you who don’t remember, We used to play as a trio with Jim Rankin (vocal/Bass) last year, at Malone’s of Lexington. But soon after Mr. Rankin ’s surgery we stop playing out, as a trio.

After a conversation with Tripp few days ago, and coincidentally meeting with the booking manager of Side Bar, we decided to start playing as a duet. We will be focusing on a new approach to standard tunes, which includes lots of deconstruction of the forms, and modern recreation of the old recognizable tunes!

We are planing on having a regular gig at the Side-Bar in downtown Lexington. Possibly Monday nights for a month or so, and see how it will turn out! Still working out some details about when we will be starting, but stay tuned to hear more!
